Storage Heat/EV Charging

Storage Heat/EV Charging is a plan that allows you to receive the lowest off-peak rate possible, on a separate meter, by allowing the Co-op to turn off your electric heat/EV charger for a total of 8 (EVs) to 14(Storage Heat) hours per day (except weekends and holidays). Typical heating systems under this plan are hydronic slab heat using an electric boiler or ETS (Electric Thermal Storage) furnace or room units (see websites below) or an electric vehicle (EV). Heat storage systems are allowed to recharge for approximately 8 hours at night and 2 hours in the afternoon and EVs are allowed to recharge between 9:30pm to1:30pm the next day.
